Attorney William Murray of Manitoba, CAN; ethical elf

The Law Society of Manitoba presented William Ronald Murray with a law license in 1975 after he graduated from the University of Winnipeg School of Law.

The Hearing Committee for the Law Society of Manitoba found Billy guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Involved in trust account irregularities
• Improperly used his law firm trust account to deal with some of his private matters
• Engaged in professional misconduct
• Payments into and out of client trust account did not comply with trust fund accounting rules
• Improperly deposited funds into this trust account that were not related to his legal fees
• Inappropriately used his law firm trust account to avoid oversight by another public body

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Hearing Committee punished Billy by gifting him with a complimentary $10,000 fine.

As we speak (ca. January 2023), Billy practices his so-called brand of law at 40 Ridgeway Road in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
