Attorney Tom J. Karris of Strongsville, OH; ethical elf

The state of Ohio presented Tom John Karris with a law license in 1982 after he graduated from Case Western University Law School in Cleveland.

The Board of Commissioners on Grievances and Discipline of the Ohio Supreme Court found tom guilty of the following misconduct based on a complaint filed by the Mahoning County Bar Association.
  1. Neglected a client matter (slacker)
  2. Refused to cooperate with disciplinary investigation (Up yours said Tommy!)
  3. Failed to attend deposition scheduled by disciplinary board
As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Ohio Supreme Court punished Tom by gifting him with a complimentary six-month suspension of his law license.

Here we have a so-called attorney basically telling the Ohio Supreme Court to kiss his ass in refusing to cooperate with the investigation, yet he’s allowed to retain his law license.

As we speak (ca. May 2012) Tom continues to practice his brand of law in Strongsville, Ohio which is a suburb of Youngstown.
