The state of North Carolina presented James Landivar with a law license in 2018 after he graduated from the University of North Carolina School of Law.

The Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar found Jimmy guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Assisted out-of-state entities in the unauthorized practice of law
• Shared fees with nonlawyers
• Made false or misleading statements about her services
• Neglected client matters
• Failed to communicate with clients
• Failed to properly supervise nonlawyer assistants
• Engaged in conduct involving dishonesty, or misrepresentation

As a direct consequence of his misconduct the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar punished Jimmy by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 2-year suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Grievance Committee didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Jimmy.
