Attorney Ryan Lackey of Fort Wayne, IN; repeat convicted drunk

The state of Indiana presented Ryan E. Lackey with a law license in 2010 after he graduated from Roger Williams University School of Law.

The Indiana Disciplinary Commission found Ryan guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Pled guilty to operating a vehicle while intoxicated (OWI), a Class A misdemeanor
  • Ryan has a prior misdemeanor OWI conviction
  • Committed a criminal act that reflects adversely on Ryan’s trustworthiness or fitness as a lawyer

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Indiana Supreme Court punished Ryan by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 90-day suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Indiana Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Ryan.

As we speak (ca. July 2022), Ryan practices his so-called brand of law with The Law Offices of Ryan E. Lackey at 1519 Spy Run Avenue in Fort Wayne, Indiana, with the caveat that he’s sober.
