Judge Nancy Ann Robb of Grand Prairie, TX; Judge Roy Bean Wannabee

FYI: Judge Roy Bean was a saloon-keeper and Justice of the Peace in Val Verde County, Texas who called himself “The Law West of the Pecos.” He was also affectionately referred to as the “hanging judge.”

The state of Texas provided Nancy Ann Robb with a law license in 1990 after he graduated from Texas Tech University Law School.

Nancy is a Municipal Court Judge in Grand Prairie, Texas. During her tenure on the bench, the Texas Judicial Commission found Nancy guilty of the following misconduct.

Nancy ordered a traffic defendant, who was responsible for damaging her car in an auto accident to pay restitution directly to her. As the judge and the injured party, Nancy absolutely knew that she was disqualified from hearing the matter.

Nancy had the chutzpah to preside over the case and then pronounce the defendant guilty. She then assessed the defendant’s punishment and fine, even though the defendant had not entered a plea. What’s a plea among enemies, right?

While presiding over the court proceedings, Nancy acted in a discourteous and intemperate manner towards the defendant. She had the audacity to illegally order that the defendant pay restitution directly to her without providing the defendant with the full range of statutory options available to him. Put simply, Nancy cheerfully trampled on the defendant’s constitutional due process rights.

I'm sure that Judge Roy Bean would be right proud of Nancy conducting court proceedings in accordance with the Australian Rules of Court.

As a consequence of her misconduct, the patron saints for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Nancy by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (June 2012) Nancy continues to sit on the Municipal Court in Grand Prairie.

This is just another fine example of why most Texans have total contempt for the manner in which Judicial Misfits are punished.
