Attorney Steven Richman of Brooklyn, NY; convicted of measuring male body parts

The state of New York presented Steven H. Richman with a law license in 1984 after he graduated the Brooklyn School of Law.

Stevie’s criminal conduct came about while he was employed as General Counsel for the New York City Board of Elections.

  • Stevie pled guilty to two misdemeanors for allegedly subjecting job seekers to a physical fitness assessment that included wrestling moves and measurement of body parts.
  • Stevie was accused of conducting the assessments under the guise of helping two people, one of them an intern, obtain a job as a security guard at political events
  • Stevie performed the assessments at the board of elections offices outside normal business hours
  • The intern’s assessment included “measuring the intern’s body parts, placing the intern in wrestling holds and having the intern place Stevie in wrestling holds
  • Stevie convinced another person seeking a security guard job to undergo a similar body part assessment, but this time, he took photos
  • A Columbia University student alleged in a lawsuit that Stevie demanded he perform pushups while Stevie laid on top of him
  • The Columbia student also said Richman twice put him in a chokehold, causing him to pass out the second time

Stevie’s lawyer laughingly told the New York Post that “there was no sexual harassment or sexual misconduct” committed by Stevie. Clearly, this lawyer missed his calling as a Standup Comedian.

All that’s left now is to see how long it takes for Stevie to cop a plea to reduce the amount of time he may well be spending at Sing Sing Prison in Ossining, New York.

As we speak (ca. July 2022), it is rumored that Stevie has applied for a job as a stockboy at the Babeland Adult Book Store located 914 Rivington Street in New York, New York.
