Attorney Regena Russell of Prince Edward Island, CAN; ethical elf

The Law Society of Prince Edward Island presented Regena Kaye Russell with a law license in 1999 after she graduated from the University of New Brunswick School of Law.

The Hearing Committee for the Law Society found Regena guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to complete the books of account, contrary to the Legal Profession Act
• Failed to maintain monthly trust account reconciliations within the 30-day time limit
• Failed to deposit monies into a trust account
• Withdrew monies from trust account contrary to Legal Profession Act

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Hearing Committee punished Regena by gifting her with a complimentary 8-month suspension of her law license and imposed costs of $60,000.00.
