Attorney Michelle English of Chapel Hill, NC; ethical dwarf

The state of North Carolina presented Michelle Lynn English with a law license in 2012 after he graduated from North Carolina Florida A&M University School of Law.

The Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar found Michelle guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Michelle undertook to sponsor an Ohio lawyer, Ms. Banks, for pro hac vice admission in multiple cases in two tribunals
• Failed to attend all hearings as she was required to do
• Did not properly register the pro hac vice admissions with the State Bar
• Failed to pay required pro hac vice admission registration fees
• Failed to take any actions to cure pro hac vice admission deficiencies

As a direct consequence of her misconduct the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar punished Michelle by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.

And lastly, as one would suspect, Michelle fails to mention the misconduct set forth above on her self-serving website at www.maitlandlaw.com. Apparently, she decided to conceal this highly relevant information from prospective clients for the purpose of not limiting her future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. September 2022), Michelle practices her so-called brand of law with the Maitland & English Law Firm at 2 Couch Road in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
