Attorney Brian Webb of Eagle, ID; ethical troll

The state of Idaho provided Brian Leslie Webb with a law license in 2006 after he graduated from the University of Idaho School of Law.

The Idaho Bar Counsel found Brian guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Entered into a questionable business transaction with a client
• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty, or misrepresentation
• Engaged in a sexual relationship with a female client
• Sexual relationship with client took place while Brian was providing her with legal advice
• Drafted and entered into two loan transactions with the client without fully disclosing the loan terms in writing
• Failed to advise the client in writing of the desirability of seeking the advice of independent legal counsel prior to entering to loan transactions with the client
• Failed to obtain the client's written informed consent to the essential terms of the loan
• Failed to disclose to the other attorneys in his firm his relationship with the client and that his firm was a creditor based on the loans
• Requested and obtained from the client medications that had been prescribed to her relative

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Idaho Supreme Court punished Brian by gifting him with a complimentary 3-year suspension of his law license effective on January 17, 2022.

As we speak (ca. June 2022), Brian will practice his so-called brand of law in January 202025 in Eagle, Idaho.
