Attorney Ryan Shoaf of Raleigh, NC; serial offender

The state of North Carolina presented Ryan Douglas Shoaf with a law license in 2001 after he graduated from Campbell University School of Law.

As one would suspect, this isn’t Ryan’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received one (1) complimentary reprimand and one (1) complimentary admonition for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

The Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar found Ryan guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Aided non-attorney to engage in the illegal practice of law
  • Misconduct involved multiple offenses
  • Accepted legal fees in an arrangement promoting the illegal practice of law
  • Engaged in a pattern of misconduct

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, Grievance Committee punished Ryan by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

And lastly, as one would suspect, Ryan fails to mention the misconduct set forth above on his self-serving website at www.ncclosingattorney.com. Apparently, he decided to conceal this highly relevant information from prospective clients for the purpose of not limiting his future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. June 2022), Ryan practices his so-called brand of law with The Shoaf Law Firm PA at 8414 Falls of Neuse Road in Raleigh, North Carolina.
