Former Judge Krystal Starowitz of Progresso, TX; scofflaw, loser

The State Commission on Judicial Conduct found Krystal guilty of engaging in the following misconduct, all of which took place while she was employed as the Progreso Municipal Court judge.

  • Upon a search of Krystal’s car, Texas police recovered multiple nitrous oxide cartridges and a burned marijuana cigar
  • Krystal was arrested at the scene and taken into custody
  • Krystal was charged with a Class B misdemeanor, use of an abusable volatile chemical, related to the nitrous oxide cartridges
  • Failed to comply with the law (scofflaw)
  • Failed to act in manner promoting public confidence in the judiciary
  • Engaged in conduct that case public discredit upon the judiciary

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the supporters of Judicial Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Krystal by gifting her with a complimentary admonishment.

As we speak (ca. June 2022), Krystal practices her brand of law in McAllen, Texas.
