Judge Rudolph Murensky III of Charleston, WV; scofflaw

The State of West Virginia presented Rudolph Murensky J. III with a law license in 1971 after he graduated from the West Virginia University School of Law.

The Judicial Investigation Commission found Rudy guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Failed to comply with the law (scofflaw)
  • Created the appearance of impropriety
  • Abused the prestige of his judicial office
  • Engaged in conduct undermining public confidence in the integrity of the judiciary
  • Failed to be patient, dignified, and courteous to litigants, jurors, witnesses, lawyers, court staff, court officials, and others with whom he dealt with in his official judicial capacity
  • Failed to perform all judicial duties fairly and impartially
  • Improperly held two police officers in contempt of court

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Judicial Investigation Commission punished Rudy by gifting him with a complimentary admonition.

As we speak (ca. June 2022), Rudy continues to dispense his so-called idea of jurisprudence as a 8th Judicial Circuit Court Judge in Charleston, West Virginia.
