The state of Ohio presented Joyce Ann Plummer with a law license in 2005 after she graduated from the University of Toledo School of Law.

FYI: The University of Toledo Law School is ranked as the 149^th best law school in the country out of 200 ABA(American Bar Association) accredited law schools.Disciplinary Counsel found Joyce guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to comply with client information requests
• Failed to preserve for a period of seven years after client termination appropriate disbursement of client funds or property
• Failed to maintain a record for each client on whose behalf funds are held that sets forth the name of the client, date, amount, and source of all funds received on the client’s behalf and the current balance for each client
• Failed to perform and retain a monthly reconciliation of her IOLTA client ledger, general ledger, and bank
• records
• Failed to deposit into a client trust account legal fees and expenses that have been paid in advance, to be withdrawn by the lawyer only as fees are earned or expenses incurred
• Failed to promptly refund any part of a fee paid in advance that has not been earned
• Engaged in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit, or misrepresentation

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Ohio Supreme Court punished Joyce by gifting her with a complimentary stayed 1-year suspension of her law license

In truth, the comedians on the Ohio Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Joyce.
