Attorney Leslie Stein of Baltimore, MD; ethical troll

The state of Maryland presented Leslie Alvin Stein with a law license in 1973 after he graduated from the University of Baltimore School of Law.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC) found Les guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice

• Disclosed confidential client information
• Failed to safekeep funds in an attorney trust account
• Failed to take steps to protect his client’s interest upon termination of the representation
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Failed to comply with attorney trust account record-keeping and monthly reconciliation requirements
• Failed to obtain his client’s informed consent in writing
• Failed to hold his client’s funds outside of trust before doing so

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Maryland Supreme punished Les by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.  

As we speak (ca. June 2022), Les practices his so-called brand of law at 2201 Saint Paul Street in Baltimore, Maryland.
