The state of California provided James Alby Bratton with a law license in 1976 after he graduated from Lincoln University in San Francisco, a 3rd tier loser school
The State Bar Court found James guilty of the following misconduct involving four client matters.
In a wrongful termination matter, Jimmy did almost no work for over four (4) years, which led the client (victim) to file a complaint.
In one divorce case, Jimmy didn’t complete and file the required QDRO (qualified domestic relations order) with the court for five (5) years.
In another divorce case, Jimmy failed to respond to his client’s (victim’s) repeated inquires about the status of the case for more than three (3) years.
As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Bar Court punished Jimmy by gifting him with a complimentary stayed two-year suspension of his law license. In truth, Jimmy received no real discipline for his misconduct.
