Sen. Mitch McConnell (KY): Today’s “Bullshit” Award Winner

This isn’t the first Award presented to Mitch. In the past, he has been the recipient of twenty-eight (28) Awards in various categories and/or the subject of one (1) opinion piece. Those awards and opinion piece are listed at the end of this article and can be viewed by going to the listed categories.

FYI: Mitch is yet another loser lawyer who learned early on how difficult it would be to earn a dishonest living practicing law after graduating from the University of Kentucky School of Law in 1967. This led him to go into the second most honest profession (used car salesman No. 1), politics.

It should be noted that Mitch had his significant snout firmly implanted in the public trough for the past fifty-four (54) years.  Apparently, no self-respecting law firm in the greater Louisville area was about to offer Moscow Mitch a good paying job. In fact, if it wasn’t for a government check, Mitch would likely have been relegated to working in the coal mines.

Shortly after the opinion written by Justice Sammy Alito that eviscerated Roe v. Wade and a woman’s right to choose was published by Politico, Sen. Mitch “Moscow Mitch” McConnell decided to feign outrage at the publication without commenting on the outrageous comments contained in Alito’s asinine screed.

Towards that end, Moscow Mitch spewed forth the following crap.

• “This lawless action should be investigated and punished to the fullest extent possible, the fullest extent possible.”
• “I’m certain the chief justice will seek to get to the bottom of this.”
• “If a crime was committed, the Department of Justice must pursue it completely.”

This is the same Moscow Mitch that expressed absolutely no outrage to the following facts:

• That Justice Clarence (This Coke’s for You) Thomas’ wife was personally involved in attempting to prevent Joe Biden was being sworn in as President in an effort to keep Trump in power
• That Justice Brett “This Bud’s for You” Kavanaugh lied under oath during his confirmation hearing that Roe v Wade when he said “It is settled as a precedent of the Supreme Court, entitled the respect under principles of stare decisis.”

In Moscow Mitch’s demented mind, it is perfectly acceptable for a right-wing ideologue justice to lie under oath during confirmation hearings as long as that justice can be relied on to rule in favor of the GOP agenda and that of the religious right.

And more importantly to Moscow Mitch and those of his ilk is knowing that a justice selected by the right wing Federalist Society can be relied upon to issue rulings eviscerating civil rights by voting for “states rights” relative to gender/racial/sexual preference bias, marriage equality, contraceptive prohibitions, and maybe even voting to allow a state under the “states rights” issue to determine whether African Americans must sit in the back of the bus.
