Attorney David Levy of Lyons, CO; convicted slacker

The state of Colorado provided Jeremy Ray Shufflebarger with a law license in 2012 after he graduated from the  University of Colorado School of Law.

The Colorado State Bar found Davey guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to communicate with his client
• Knowingly disobey an obligation under the rules of a tribunal
• Violated a permanent protection order when he emailed two parties protected by the order
• Again violated the protection order when he later texted one of the parties
• Found in indirect contempt for disobeying the protection order and sentenced to three days in jail
• Law enforcement arrested Davey and he was charged with violating a protection order, a class-two misdemeanor

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Colorado Supreme Court punished Davey by gifting him with a complimentary 1-year suspension of his law license.  

As we speak (ca. May 2022), Davey will resume his so-called practice of law with David Levy Attorney at Law in Lyons, Colorado in November 2022.
