Attorney Terry Richardson of Wilmington, NC; lying loser
The state of North Carolina presented Terry B. Richardson with a law license in 1981 after he graduated from the University of North Carolina School of Law.
The Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar found Terry guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.
-
Failed to safeguard client funds
-
Failed to maintain bank receipts or deposit slips listing the source of all funds deposited in his trust account
-
Failed to name the client to whom the trust funds belonged too
-
Failed to maintain required trust account records
-
Gave false evidence, false statements or other deceptive practices during the disciplinary process (Up yours, said Jimmy!)
-
Failed to maintain a ledger containing a record of receipts and disbursements
-
Failed to show client balances of funds held for clients in client trust account
-
Failed to maintain a client ledger
-
Failed to reconcile his trust accounts at least quarterly
-
Failed to acknowledge wrongful nature of his conduct
-
Used entrusted funds to the benefit of himself and I-Jill, who were not the legal or beneficial owner of the property
-
Misconduct involved multiple offenses
-
Falsely testified [perjury] that he had submitted all his trust account records to the Bar as requested (Screw you, said Jimmy!)
-
Because North Carolina attorneys are held to a much lower standard of conduct then everyone else, he was never criminally charged for perjury.
As a direct consequence of his misconduct, Grievance Committee punished Terry with a complimentary 3-year suspension of his law license.
And lastly, because Attorney Misfits in North Carolina are held to a much lower standard of conduct, Terry was never criminally charged or prosecuted for perjury.
As we speak (ca. May 2022), Terry practices his so-called brand of law at 209 Princess Street in Wilmington, North Carolina.
