Attorney Reginald Alston of Winston Salem, NC; ethical gremlin

The state of North Carolina presented Reginald D. Alston with a law license in 1997 after he graduated from Wake Forest University School of Law.

The Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar found Reggie guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Repeatedly engaging in rude, belligerent, and otherwise discourteous behavior to the court
  • Engaged in undignified or discourteous conduct that is degrading to a tribunal
  • Filed an improper Motion for all Order to Show Cause against the Ashland County Superior Clerk of Court without a basis in law
  • Filed a frivolous claim and contention
  • Refused to acknowledge the wrongful nature of his conduct

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, Grievance Committee punished Reggie with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. May 2022), Reggie practices his so-called brand of law at 301 North Main Street in Winston Salem, North Carolina.
