Attorney Barry Snyder of Greensboro, NC; ethical troll

The state of North Carolina presented Barry C. Snyder with a law license in 1982 after he graduated from the University of North Carolina School of Law.

The Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar found Barry guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Used or pledged entrusted property for the benefit of someone other than the legal or beneficial owner of that property
• Failed to reconcile his trust accounts at least quarterly
• Failed to total and reconcile those accounts with the current bank balance each quarter
• Failed to ensure that the chiropractor was paid from the proceeds of his client’s settlement pursuant to the valid lien of a chiropractor
• Allowed entrusted property to be used to obtain personal benefit for persons other than the legal or beneficial owners of the property
• Allowed settlement proceed checks to be deposited into an account other than an attorney trust account
• Failed to promptly deposit into a general or dedicated attorney trust account trust funds received by or placed under Barry’s control
• Engaged in multiple acts of misconduct

As one would suspect this isn’t Barry’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received two (2) complimentary admonitions for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, Grievance Committee punished Barry with a complimentary 2-year suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. May 2022), Barry practices his so-called brand of law at 210 West Friendly Avenue, North Carolina.
