The state of New York presented Al with a law license in 1990 after he graduated from Hofstra University School of Law.

The 1^st Appellate Division Grievance Committee found Doug guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to hold and safeguard client funds
• Failed to ensure prompt delivery of estate funds to a former client
• Failed to exhibit any remorse and/or apologize for his misconduct
• Failed to take full responsibility for his misconduct

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee punished Doug by gifting him with a complimentary censure. 

As we speak (ca. May 2022), Doug practices his so-called brand of law with Alan Barry & Associates at 64 North Street in Danbury, Connecticut.
