Attorney Curtis Whitmore of Huntsville, AL; cheating dimwit

The state of Alabama presented Curtis Lee Whitmore with a law license in 1987 after he graduated from the University of Alabama School of Law.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel found Sammy guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to adequately communicate with his client
  • Failed to provide competent representation (Dimwit)
  • Failed to refund unearned fees to his client after being terminated (cheater)
  • Failed to safeguard client funds
  • Failed to file civil action on client’s behalf despite being paid upfront to so act

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on Disciplinary Counsel punished Sammy by gifting him with a complimentary 3-year suspension of his law license and assessed an administrative fee of $1,000.00 effective March 2022.

As we speak (ca. April 2022), Curtis will resume his so-called practice of law in Huntsville, Alabama in early 2025.
