Attorney Phillip Drinkwater III of Pennsauken, NJ; slacker, cheater

The state of New Jersey presented Phillip Francis Drinkwater III with a law license in 1992 after he graduated from Seton Hall University School of Law.

The New Jersey Office of Attorney Ethics found Phil guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in gross negligence of client matters
  • Engaged in a pattern of misconduct
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to keep his client reasonably informed about the status of a matter
  • Failed to respond to client information requests
  • Failed to properly supervise office staff
  • Charged and/or collected an unreasonable fee (cheater)

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the New Jersey Supreme Court punished Phil by gifting him with a complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. April 2022), Phil practices his so-called brand of law in Pennsauken, New Jersey.
