Attorney Rolando Urbina of Zachary, LA; ethical goblin

The state of Louisiana presented Rolando Roberto Urbina with a law license in 2011 after he graduated the University of Oklahoma School of Law.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel found Roland guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Mishandled his client trust account
  • Converted client funds
  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Rolando!)
  • Violated or attempted to violate the Rules of Professional Conduct, knowingly assisted, or induced another to do so, or did so through the acts of another
  • Knowingly violated duties owed to his clients, the legal system, and the legal profession
  • Misconduct caused potential harm to his clients and actual harm to the legal profession

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Louisiana Supreme Court punished Roland by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 1-year suspension of his law license effective May 24, 2022.

As we speak (ca. July 2022), Rolando will resume his so-called brand of law at 8944 Cherry Laurel Avenue in Zachary, Louisiana in May 2023.
