Attorney David Moreno of Baltimore, MD; dimwitted slacker

The state of Maryland presented David Fernando Moreno with a law license in 2010 after he graduated from the University of Baltimore School of Law.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC) found Davey guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to provide competent representation (dimwit)
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to adequately communicate with client
• Failed failing to take steps to protect his client’s interest upon termination of the representation
• Failed to respond to his client’s attempts to reach him during the months leading up to his client’s asylum hearing
• Failed to appear at asylum hearing on client’s behalf which led to client being deported
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Advised his client to attend asylum hearing without counsel to request a postponement
• Lied to his client that he would assist him in reopening the asylum matter

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Maryland Supreme punished Davey by gifting him with a complimentary 60-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. April 2022), Davey practices his so-called brand of law at 1901 Fleet Street in Baltimore, Maryland.
