Attorney Kerri Cleghorn of Milwaukee, WI; moronic slacker

The state of Wisconsin presented Kerri Cleghorn with a law license in 2003 after she graduated from Marquette University School of Law.

The Office of Lawyer Regulation (OLR) found Kerri guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to provide competent representation (moron)
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to refund any unearned advance fee (cheater)
• Failed to file necessary appellate documents on client’s behalf
• Failure to file required appellate documents led to dismissal of client’s appeal
• Failed to provide client with copy of fee agreement on numerous occasions
• Kerri’s invoice reflects that she performed relatively limited amount of work on the client’s behalf during the more than three-year period in which she represented him
• Kerri’s invoice reflects a total of approximately 50 hours of work performed on her client’s appellate matter
• During her three-years of client representation, Kerri neve filed any notice of appearance or any other document on the client’s behalf in the appellate case, circuit court case, or any other court proceeding
• Failed to communicate to her client in writing the purpose and effect of advanced fees she was paid
• Failed to provide her client with an invoice for services performed

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Wisconsin Supreme Court punished Kerri by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. March 2022), Kerri practices her so-called brand of law with the Law Offices of Kerri T. Cleghorn SC at 2505 North Mayfair Road in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
