Judge Julie Gordon of Owensboro, KY; ethical troll

The state of Kentucky provided Julie Hawes Gordon with a law license in 2004 after she graduated from the University of Kentucky School of Law.

The Kentucky Judicial Conduct Commission found Julie guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Took numerous actions to exert her influence as Family Court Judge to obstruct justice and affect the outcome of your son, Dalton’s proceedings
  • Called or sent text messages to Sgt. Harper, Deputy Payne, and other Daviess County Sheriff’s deputies on their personal phones and attempted to indirectly contact other deputies to respond to your residence for incidents involving her son Dalton
  • Failed to comply with the law (scofflaw)
  • Failed to act in a manner promoting public confidence in the judiciary
  • Failed to perform her judicial duties fairly and impartially
  • Permitted family interests and/or relationships to influence her judicial conduct or judgment
  • Engaged in illegal ex parte (one-sided) communications
  • Engaged in conduct that would appear to a reasonable person to be coercive
  • Abused her judicial power
  • Exceeded her the authority of her judicial position
  • Failed to disqualify herself when her impartiality might reasonably be questioned
  • Retaliated, directly or indirectly, against a person n known or suspected to have assisted or cooperated
  • with an investigation of Julie’s conduct
  • Mismanaged her courtroom
  • Failed to make administrative appointments impartially and on the basis of merit and avoid nepotism, favoritism, and unnecessary appointments
  • Demonstrated lack of candor and misrepresented material facts to ethics investigators (Screw you, said Julie!)
  • Engaged in egregious conflicts of interest

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the Judicial Conduct Commission laughingly ordered that Julie be suspended from the bench with pay effective December 2, 2021. This paid vacation allows for Julie to receive $2,558.00 a week for providing absolutely no services to Kentucky’s overburdened taxpayers.

All that remains now is to see what if any real punishment is meted out to Julie by the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Kentucky Supreme Court.

As we speak (ca. April 2022), Julie continues to dispense her so-called idea of jurisprudence as a Judicial Circuit Judge in Owensboro, Kentucky.
