Judge James Zander of Clifton, TX; ethical misfit

The State Commission on Judicial Conduct found Jimmy guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • After learning that the county attorney sought to dismiss a traffic matter, initiated an ex parte communication about the merits of the case with the officer who issued the citation
  • Directed his clerk to convey to the county that the officer was opposed to the dismissal
  • Engaged in illegal ex parte (one-sided) communications concerning the merits of a pending judicial proceeding
  • Engaged in conduct exhibiting manifest bias or prejudice

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the cheerleaders for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Jimmy by gifting him with a complimentary admonition.

As we speak (ca. May2022), Jimmy continues to dispense his so-called idea of jurisprudence as a Clifton Court Justice of the Peace in Clifton, Texas.
