Judge Meng Lim of Tallapoosa, GA; accused batterer

The state of Georgia provided Meng Huey Lim with a law license in 1998 after he graduated from Mercer University School of Law.

The Georgia Judicial Qualifications Commission found Meng guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Arrested for the offense of Family Violence Battery
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Conduct brought his judicial office into disrepute
• Failed to comply with and respect the law (scofflaw)
• Failed to establish and maintain high standards of conduct
• Repeatedly made false and misleading statements to ethics investigators (Screw you, said Meng!)
• Began a romantic relationship with Ms. Hernandez, a Polk County Clerk’s Office employee who appeared in front of the Judge to assist with Spanish interpretation, offering to use her as an interpreter to entice her not to move out of state, and allowing her to stay and live at his home while she was employed at the Polk County Clerk’s Office
• Failed to disqualify himself from presiding over cases when his impartiality might reasonably be questioned
• Failed to refrain from financial and business dealings with individuals which reflect adversely on his impartiality and
• interfered with the proper performance of his judicial duties
• Conveyed and enabled others to convey the impression that they were able to influence him as a judge
• Gave preferential treatment to Mr. Hill by allowing him to complete work for pay at the Judge’s restaurant, assisting him in being excused from a counseling session in order to assist the Judge with non-judicial matters

All that remains now is to see what if any punishment is meted out to Meng by the apologists for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Georgia Supreme Court.

As we speak (ca. March 2022), Meng continues to dispense his so-called idea of jurisprudence as a Tallapoosa Circuit Superior Court judge in Tallapoosa, Georgia.
