Judge Robert Burns III of Dallas, TX; ethical misfit

The state of Texas provided Robert D. Burns III with a law license in 1990 after he graduated from Southern Methodist University (SMU) School of Law.

The Texas Commission on Judicial Conduct found Paulie guilty of engaging in the following misconduct, all of which took place while he was employed as a Dallas County Criminal District Court Judge.

  • Failed to act patient, dignified and courteous to those with those unfortunate enough to have had to deal with him in his official capacity
  • Engaged in willful or persistent conduct that cast public discredit upon the judiciary

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Bobby by gifting him with a complimentary admonition.

As we speak (ca. April 2022), Bobby practices his so-called idea of jurisprudence as the Chief Justice of the 5th Court of Appeals for Dallas County, Texas.
