Former Judge Michael Headley of West Union, WV; scofflaw

The West Virginia Judicial Investigation Commission found Mikey guilty of engaging in the following misconduct, all of which took place while he was employed as a Magistrate Judge of Doddridge County.

• Improperly solicited donations for a charity in a newspaper ad
• Failed to comply with the law (scofflaw)
• Failed to engage in conduct promoting public confidence in the judiciary
• Engaged in activities that would appear to a reasonable person to undermine Mikey’s independence, integrity, or impartiality

Rather than await a decision that may have led to him being tossed off the bench, Mikey did what any coward is expected to do, he resigned from the bench.

As we speak (ca. March 2022), it is rumored that Mickey has an application pending for a job as a greeter at the Walmart Supercenter Store at 110 Berlin Road in Weston, West Virginia.
