Former Judge Randy Nutter of St. Mary’s, WV; ethical misfit

The West Virginia Judicial Investigation Commission found Randy guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Dismissed criminal charges in exchange for donations to a charitable organization
  • Created the appearance of selling justice in his courtroom
  • Created a secondary judicial system for select defendants
  • Failed to uphold and apply the law
  • Failed to perform all judicial duties fairly and impartially
  • Abused the prestige of his judicial office
  • Failed to avoid impropriety or the appearance of impropriety

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the cheerleaders for Judicial Misfits sitting on the West Virginia Supreme Court punished Randy by gifting him with a complimentary admonition.

As we speak (ca. March 2022), it is rumored is rumored that Randy has an application pending for a job as a greeter at the Walmart Supercenter Store at 804 Pike Street in Marietta, Ohio.
