Former Judge Manuel Valdez of New Fairview, TX; dimwitted scofflaw

The Texas State Commission on Judicial Conduct found Manny guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to complete any of his 16 hours of judicial education for the 2018-2019 Academic Year
  • Did not complete any of his 16 hours of judicial education for the 2019-2020 Academic Year
  • Manny did not seek, nor was he granted, a waiver for his educational requirements for either the 2018-2019 or 2019-2020 Academic Years
  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Manny!)
  • Failed to maintain competence in the law (dimwit)
  • Engage in willful and/or persistent conduct" that was clearly inconsistent with the required performance of his duties or that cast public discredit upon the judiciary
  • Willfully failed to comply with the law (scofflaw)

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Jeff by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. May 2022), it is rumored that Manny has an application pending for a job as a greeter at the Walmart Supercenter Store at 1406 East Milam Street in Mexia, Texas.
