Attorney Steven Okey of Canton, OH; slacker, loser

The state of Ohio presented Steven Paul Okey with a law license in 1987 after he graduated from the University of Akron School of Law.

Disciplinary Counsel of the Ohio Supreme Court found Stevie guilty of engaging in the following conduct.

  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to comply with client information requests
  • Commingled client funds with personal funds
  • Knowingly disobeyed the rules of a tribunal (Screw you, said Stevie!)
  • Failed upon being terminated to return all client papers to the client
  • Failed to make reasonably diligent effort to comply with a legally proper discovery request
  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said (Stevie!)
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty, or misrepresentation
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice law

All that remains now is to see what if any punishment is meted out to Stevie by the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Ohio Supreme Court.

As we speak (ca. March 2022), Stevie practices his so-called brand of law with The Okey Law Firm, LPA at 337 Third Street N.W. in Canton, Ohio.
