Attorney Phillip Amos III of Highlands Ranch, CO; ethical troll

The state of Colorado provided Phillip D. Amos III with a law license in 2014 after he graduated from the University of Colorado School of Law.

The Colorado State Bar found Phil guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• After consuming several beers and upon return to his office, Phil called his assistant into his office and began to ask her personal questions, including making queries about her girlfriend. He also commented on her body, inquired about her girlfriend’s body, speculated about her sexual history, and used derogatory language about her sexual orientation
• Committed a criminal act that reflects adversely on the Phil’s honesty, trustworthiness, or fitness as a lawyer
• Engaged in conduct Phil knew or reasonably should have known constitutes sexual harassment where the conduct occurs in connection with the lawyer’s professional activities

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits in Colorado sitting on the Colorado Supreme Court punished Phil by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 6-month suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Colorado Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Phil.
