Attorney Stephen Shub of Ontario, CAN; ethical elf

The Law Society of Upper Canada presentedStephen Hershel Shub with a law license in 1995 after he graduated from the University of Ottawa School of Law.

The Hearing Committee for the Law Society of Ontario found Stevie guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Failed to assume complete responsibility for his practice of law and/or failed to directly supervise a law clerk
  • Failed to serve his client, a bank, by failing to be physically present when the borrower, presented her identification documents.
  • Failed to immediately deposit retainer funds into trust received by or on behalf of a client
  • Failed to encourage public confidence in and respect for the administration of justice
  • Failed to act with integrity and failed to encourage public confidence in and respect for the administration of justice
  • Filed application found by Court to be “totally without merit"

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Hearing Committee punished Stevie by gifting him with a complimentary 1-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. March 2022), Stevie practices his so-called brand of law at 306-9555 Yonge Street in Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada.
