Attorney Lynn Hughes of Las Vegas; cheating slacker

The state of Nevada presented Lynn N. Hughes with a law license in 1997 after he graduated from Indiana University School of Law.

The Nevada Disciplinary Board found Lynn guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • After accepting $3,000 retainer to enforce child support order and sale of marital home, Lynn failed to communicate with the client
  • Failed to provide client with status updates
  • Billed client $1,625.0 for a motion Lynn was hired to file but which never was filed (cheater)
  • Failed to comply with client information requests
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Nevada Supreme Court punished Lynn by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand and assessed costs of $1,500.00.

And lastly, as one would suspect, Lynn and his firm fail to mention the misconduct set forth above on their self-serving website at www.lvfamilylaw.com. Apparently, they decided to conceal this relevant information from prospective clients to assure that they would not limit their future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. February 2022), Lynn practices his so-called brand of law with Roberts Stoffel Family Law Group at 4411 South Pecos Road in Las Vegas, Nevada.
