Attorney David Stringer of Prescott, AZ; ethical goblin

The state of Arizona presented David H. Stringer with a law license in 1983 after he graduated from the University of Arizona School of Law.

The Arizona State Bar found Davey guilty of engaging in the following conduct.

  • Misconduct involved dishonest or selfish motive
  • Rand a political campaign attempting to make it appear that state and federal judges had determined that his opponent was dishonest
  • In his campaign materials, Davey suggested that a federal judge had impugned the character of a public legal officer
  • Misrepresented state court holdings to suggest that state courts had determined that a public legal officer was dishonest
  • Personally approved campaign materials that he knew were in violation of the Rules of Professional Conduct
  • Made false statement of material fact to ethics investigators (Up yours, said Davey!)

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arizona Supreme Court punished Davey by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand and assessed investigative costs of $1,200.00.

As we speak (ca. February 2022), Davey practices his so-called brand of law at 231 South Marina Street in Prescott, Arizona.
