Attorney Huel Carter of Fultondale, AL; ethical dwarf

The state of Alabama presented Huel Malone Carter with a law license in 1981 after he graduated from the Birmingham School of Law.

The Alabama State Bar Association found Huel guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to safeguard client funds
• Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice
• After receipt of settlement check to satisfy client Medicare lien, Huel failed to deliver check to Medicare, causing it to  become stale, which resulted in client’s social security disability payments being garnished to satisfy Medicare’s lien

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Alabama Supreme Court punished Huel by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand and assessed investigative costs of $1,000.00.   

And lastly, as one would suspect, Huel fails to mention the misconduct set forth above on his self-serving website at www.carterlf.com. Apparently, he chose to conceal this relevant information from prospective clients for the purpose of not limiting his future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. February 2022), Huel practices his so-called brand of law with the Carter Law Firm LLC at 925 Decatur Highway in Fultondale, Alabama.
