Attorney Travis Whitsitt of Denver, CO; convicted wife beater

The state of Colorado presented Travis Daniel Whitsitt with a law license in 2013 after he graduated from the University of Colorado School of Law.

The Disciplinary Counsel found Travis guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Pled guilty to third-degree assault as an act of domestic violence
• After ex-wife tried to leave room, Travis blocked the door causing her to hit him in the stomach
• Travis then struck ex-wife in the face, breaking her nose
• Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Colorado Supreme Court punished Travis by gifting him with a complimentary 1-year suspension of his law license effective July 26, 2021.

As we speak (ca. February 2022), Travis will resume his so-called brand of law with Kilpatrick Townsend Stockton LLP at 1400 Wewatta Street in Denver, Colorado in late June 2022.
