Attorney William Dawn of Denver; convicted felon

The state of Colorado provided William E. Dawn with a law license in 1963 after he graduated from the University of Colorado School of Law.

The Colorado State Bar found Billy guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Pled guilty in federal court to a single felony count of conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud
  • Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice
  • Billy was sentenced to three years of probation and was ordered to pay over $366,000.00 in restitution
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty, or misrepresentation.
  • Made false and misleading representations to investors

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits in Colorado sitting on the Colorado Supreme Court punished Billy by gifting him with a complimentary 3-year suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. January 2022), Billy practices his so-called brand of law at 622 South Pontiac Street in Denver, Colorado.
