Attorney Gerald Salmen of Wyoming, OH; scamming loser

The state of Ohio presented Gerald George Salmen with a law license in 1976 after he graduated from the University of Cincinnati School of Law.

Disciplinary Counsel of the Ohio Supreme Court found Gerry guilty of engaging in the following conduct.

Gerry’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Failed to fulfill Mandatory Continuing Legal Education requirements

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Ohio Supreme Court punished Gerry by gifting him with a complimentary 30-day suspension of his law license.

Gerry’s 2nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Failed to refile client Christopher McLaughlin’s wrongful discharge case prior to tolling of statute of limitations
  • Entered into improper agreement with McLaughlin to pay him $225,000 in return for him forfeiting his right to sue Gerry for legal malpractice
  • Gerry sent McLaughlin false letter purportedly from U.S. Bank indicating that he had closed on his refinancing and that U.S. Bank would
  • disburse funds to Gerry after he paid off an outstanding tax lien
  • U.S. Bank informed ethics investigators that Gerry never filed a refinancing application on the property as he had falsely stated to McLaughlin
  • Made false statement to ethics investigators (Screw you, said Gerry!)
  • Submitted fraudulent letter from his doctor to avoid deposition by ethics investigators
  • Submitted fraudulent bank records to ethics investigators (Up yours, said Gerry!)
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty, or misrepresentation
  • Engaged in conduct that adversely reflects on fitness to practice law
  • Engaged in a pattern of falsifying documents

All that remains now is to see what if any punishment is meted out to Gerry by the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Ohio Supreme Court.

As we speak (ca. February 2022), Gerry practices his so-called brand of law with the Law Office of Gerald G. Salmen at 106 Forest Avenue in Wyoming, Ohio.
