Attorney Jeffrey Smith of Long Beach, CA; cheating dimwit

The state of California presented Jeffrey Bryan Smith with a law license in 1990 after he graduated from Southwestern University School of Law.

The State Bar found Jeff guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Jeff!)
  • Intentionally, recklessly, or repeatedly failed to perform with competence (dimwit)
  • Failed to file a petition to reopen client bankruptcy case
  • Failed to resolve the outstanding lien
  • Failed to perform any legal services for client in resolving the outstanding lien
  • Failed to return client file upon termination
  • Failed to refund $1,500 in unearned fees (cheater)
  • Failed to respond to client status inquiries
  • Engaged in a pattern of misconduct
  • 2021 – 30 days effective June 23, 2021
  • Failed to provide competent representation (moron)
  • Failed to obey court orders (Up yours, said Jeff!)

As one would suspect, this wasn’t Jeff’s first bite at the attorney misfit apple tree. He previously received two (2) complimentary suspensions of his law license for his failure to pay his annual State Bar dues and placed on probation on another occasion for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the State Bar Court punished Ronnie by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 1-year suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the State Bar Court failed to mete out any meaningful punishment to Jeff.

And lastly, as one would suspect, Jeff fails to disclose the misconduct set forth above on his self-serving website at www.personalinjuryattys.com. Apparently, he decided to conceal said relevant facts from prospective clients to prevent limiting his future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. September 2021), Jeff practices his so-called brand of law with Curd Galindo & Smith LLP at 301 East Ocean Blvd in Long Beach, California.
