Solicitor Alan Livingstone of Scotland; ethical elf

The Law Society presented Alan Livingstone with a law license in 1992 after he graduated from the University of Glasgow School of Law.

The Scottish Solicitors’ Discipline Tribunal found Alan guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in professional misconduct
  • Breached Rules 3, 5 and 7 of the Solicitors (Scotland) Practice Rules 1986 and Rules 3 and 6 of the Solicitors (Scotland) (Standards of Conduct) Practice Rules 2008

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Solicitor Misfits sitting on the Discipline Tribunal punished Alan by gifting him with a complimentary censure and imposed a fine of £2,500.

As we speak (ca. August 2021), Alan practices his so-called brand of law with Border Legal Limited trading as Hastings Legal at 15 The Square in Kelso, Scotland.
