Michigan Justice Brian K. Zahra; cheerleader for serial attorney thief

The state of Michigan presented Brian K. Zahra with a law license in 1987 after she graduated from the University of Detroit School of Law.

Justice Brian K. Zahra was appointed by Governor Rick Snyder to the Michigan Supreme Court on January 14, 2011.

In 1994, Governor John Engler appointed him to the Wayne County Circuit Court where in 1996 he was elected to a six-year term.  In December of 1998, he was appointed to the Michigan Court of Appeals by Governor Engler. He was elected to six-year terms in 2000 and 2006. From December 2005 to January 2007, he served as the Court of Appeals’ Chief Judge Pro Tem.

In one matter, Justice Zahra voted to reinstate the law license of Lisa Londer of Oxford, Michigan who was a convicted felon, serial shoplifter, and thief. A review of Lisa’s misconduct can be found by visiting the URL listed at the end of this article.

If Ms. Londer was not an attorney and was employed at a retail store like Macy’s she would never be hired. The same is true if she applied to be a cashier at the Flagstar Bank at 425 North Lapeer Road in Oxford. In truth, she’d likely have trouble obtaining employment as a greeter at the Walmart Supercenter Store at 2500 South Adams Street in Rochester Hills.

Apparently, Justice Zahra is of the firm belief that Ms. Londer has a constitutional right to try and earn a dishonest living practicing law.

At a minimum, Ms. Londer should be made to place a Warning Sign on her office door to alert prospective victims that she is a convicted thief and felon. This is the least the State Bar and Supreme Court should do to protect the public from someone of Lisa Londer’s ilk.

As we speak (ca. August 2021), Brian Zahra continues to dispense his so-called idea of jurisprudence as an Associate Justice of the Michigan Supreme Court.
