Attorney John Schreiber of Benicia, CA; ethical troll

The state of California presented John Toby Schreiber with a law license in 1987 after he graduated from Santa Clara University School of Law.

The State Bar found Johnny guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Misconduct significantly harmed a client, the public, or the administration of justice
• Intentionally, recklessly, or repeatedly failed to perform legal services with competence
• Failed to provide an accounting to client for the $30,000 in advanced fees that Johnny received from his client for over seven months after the client requested an accounting
• Willfully failed to timely account to the client regarding the funds
• Failed to communicate with his client
• Client was significantly harmed by Johnny’s conduct
• Engaged in Multiple acts of misconduct

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the State Bar Courtpunished Johnny by gifting him with a complimentary 30-day suspension of his law license.  

And lastly, as one would suspect, Johnny fails to disclose the misconduct set forth above on his self-serving website at www.schreiberappeals.com. Apparently, he decided to conceal said relevant facts from prospective clients to prevent limiting his future victim pool.
