Attorney Arthur K. Snyder of Los Angeles; convict

The state of California provided Arthur K. Snyder with a law license in 1960 after he graduated from USC Law School.

The California Bar Court found Arthur guilty of the following misconduct:

Arthur was previously convicted of one count of conspiracy and eight counts of making campaign contributions in a name other than the actual contributor.

Arthur’s criminal convictions were the result of his role in an influence-peddling scheme. His law firm was engaged in high profile political work that included consulting and lobbying. The scheme involved funneling hundreds of thousands of dollars in small campaign checks from a large network of friends, relatives and associates of his law firm to various political candidates.

Money that Arthur received from certain corporations, who were the real contributors, was used to pay back the named contributors.

Arthur was also found guilty of violating several ant-laundering provisions of the Political Reform Act.

As a consequence of his criminal conduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Bar Court punished Arthur by gifting him with a complimentary six-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. June 2012) Arthur practices law with Snyder & Associates at 2832 Lawndale Drive in Los Angeles, California.

It is nice to know that Arthur is yet another convict practicing law in the greater Los Angeles area.
