Barrister Michael Rutter of England; bullying loser

The Law Society presented Michael Andrew Ritter with a Barristers license in 1990 after he graduated from the University of Bristol School of Law.

The Bar Standards Board found Mikey guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Behaved in a way which was likely to diminish the trust and confidence which the public places in him or in the profession
  • Engaged in unprofessional conduct
  • Sent an e-mail to a fellow member of Chambers saying: “If you were to persist with your opposition then I will reveal that which you would rather keep secret”
  • The email was reasonably interpreted as a threat and an attempt to influence the vote on the tenancy application of a Pupil candidate to join Chambers

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Barrister Misfits sitting on the Bar Standards Board punished Mikey by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. June 2021), Mikey practices his brand of law with the Middle Temple Inn at 39 Quayside, Newcastle Upon Tyne in, United Kingdom.
