Attorney James Heos of East Lansing, MI; ethical dwarf

The state of Michigan unfortunately presented James Heos with a law license in 1986 after she graduated from Vanderbilt University Law School.

In one matter, the Michigan Court of Appeals fined Jimmy $3,000 for raising his middle finger during oral arguments in a Zoom appellate hearing.

In a lame effort at levity, Jimmy told a reporter at the Detroit Free Press that he flipped the bird because he was frustrated at a malfunctioning computer screen. Jimmy went on to state he had no idea that giving the bird while on a Zoom call could be seen by the other party or parties to the call.

It cannot be disputed that Jimmy clearly missed his calling as a Standup Comedian.

In issuing the order for the $3,000 fine, Judge Thomas Cameron wrote:

“Mr. Heos exhibited shameful disrespect to the court and to opposing counsel in his offensive gesture and his dishonest replies to the court’s inquiries."

As we speak (ca. July 2021), Jimmy practices his so-called brand of law at in East Lansing, Michigan.
