Attorney Gabriel McCarthy of Boise, ID; ethical goblin

The State of Idaho presented Gabriel Justin McCarthy with a law license in 2006 after he graduated from the University of Idaho School of Law.

The Idaho Bar Counsel found Gabe guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to communicate with his client
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to provide client with opportunity to review initial appellate brief before it was filed
• Failed to advise his client the time for filing an optional reply brief had passed
• Failed to reasonably consult with or inform his client that of the time left for filing an optional reply brief had lapsed

As a consequence of her misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Idaho Supreme Court punished Gabe by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand. 

As we speak (ca. May 2021) Gabe practices his brand of law at 401 West Front Street in Boise, Idaho.
